Why did God choose us?

God chose us even before the foundation of the world. We do not have anything in us that we can boast about is it! God saw you and me in His Eternal plan and thought it best to have us in His Kingdom not because he saw any good in us, but by His mercies alone.

So why did He choose us? Didn’t he already have the angels to praise and glorify Him?

God chose us to be holy and blameless before Him in LOVE. The good pleasure of His will was to love us, to raise us up as children; children who soaked in that eternal Love; Love that is unconditional, to the point of sacrificing His only begotten Son.

God never wished for us to sin. He did not plan for us to die. But His righteousness never fails and we had to suffer the consequences of our own rebellious nature.

Are we to say that God was wrong in creating us as a rebellious being then?

When God created us, He made us special; totally different from the Angels of Heaven. He gave us free-will to fathom the love of God, though it is unfathomable. He made us understand what it is like to be as children of God, ‘to make us know the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure’, to sit with Him, to be by His side, and to have an inheritance in His Kingdom.

And even though man fell short of that glory by his own free-will, God’s grace is multitudinous, so much so that He made a way for us to come back to that glory through Jesus Christ His Son, which was the ultimate atonement made in the wake of His righteousness.

God wants us to be as righteous as Him, and there is not better way we can chose than to let God ‘lead us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.’ God wants all of mankind to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), but sadly, only a few believe on Him, call upon Him and are faithful to Him.

The question is, are you one among them?

If not, now is the time to turn to Him. He is just waiting for that final soul to turn to Him before He comes again for judgement. That soul could be you!

God is calling each and every one of us to be blameless and righteous as He is. Salvation has come free for all through the blood of Christ and you do not have to pay any price for it. All you have to do is to believe on Him, and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Take Him into your life and confess Him as your Lord, and let God lead you in the paths of righteousness.

God has accepted us as we are. Have we accepted that invitation to be His beloved children? Have we dedicated our lives to be Holy and Blameless to the praise of the glory of His grace in LOVE?
