Proving ourselves blameless

As Children of God, we need to prove ourselves blameless and innocent. We need to prove ourselves different from the world and display the light within us.

How do we prove ourselves?

In Philippians 2:14, Paul instructs the church of Philippi to ‘Do all things without grumbling or disputing.’

Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.

Philippians 2:14-15

We often complain when having to follow the standards of the world and it is quite easy to push the blame on other people and the systems. However, this is pretty much, what the world does. We are simply following the same principles, albeit identifying ourselves as Christians.

The mark of a true believer is that they rejoice even in sufferings. Even if the going gets tough, the Children of God need not worry, because one of the greatest powers we received through the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ, is the ability to overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
— Romans 12:21

So why grumble or dispute when our Lord has overcome the world?

Moreover, as Paul constantly reiterates, rejoice in the Lord always! Let us prove ourselves blameless and innocent!
